That's very fair.

I guess my objection is grounded in the premise that if you do find a way
to roll your own signaling/media control using banks of TNTs -- and
thereby set about homespinning a soft switch, in essence -- I do not see
how from a reliability or cost point of view the results are necessarily
ghetto from any but the most superficial standpoint.
