Re: [asterisk-biz] Trixbox Pro?

Volt,

These are just plain facts my friend – not hype.

Derrick:

Do not doubt your hype.
Just the substance.

Volt,

You are correct, the hybrid-hosted solution is not for everyone, hence
there is still Trixbox CE (Community Edition).

Here is a link to the sold out Ftocc in LA:

Another fact is that Trixbox/Trixbox pro downloads are being downloaded
at the rate of 65000/month, and increasing.

Some people must see it as useful maybe even superior.

Time will tell.

Cheers,

Derrick

Switchvox makes a good product too. I would just buy the software, and
not the full package.

I like Thirdlane because it is pretty simple and I like webmin (which it

integrates with), very easy installation and setup.

I did not have a good impression of Signate but I am not sure they are
even around anymore. This was over a year ago but one thing that I
found sub-par was having to tell the system if an extension was ZAP, or
IAX (defaulted to SIP) even after you setup the extension as IAX or
ZAP. I had to hack the code to dip into the database and look up the
technology before dialing. Another thing they did was call many AGIs
that were encrypted with Ioncube, so modification was next to
impossible.

Haven't tried PBXWare because I was in a quick buying cycle and I think
they were at a trade show. I did not get a reply for several days so I
went with Switchvox for that one.

Thanks,
Steve

Juan,

Well, I thank you all for your replies, you have confirmed what I feared
but not helped getting forward.

I guess what I am looking for is a complete solution backed by a real
company with quality support at a reasonable price (of course).

Seems from bulk of replies that is not going to be found with Trixbox Pro.

Anyone got any other suggestions? Maybe some good experiences at least to introduce me with :) Thank's...
